THE CHRISTIAN RACE IS A JOURNEY
Hallelujah!
Greetings to all the faithful across the nations of the world. The Lord is good! It is a great privilege to write and communicate the will of God to you at this moment. Thank you for taking the time to read. Kindly share your thoughts, ask questions, and make contributions. You may also reach us at taiyeajayiministries@gmail.com — we will be glad to respond.
Today, we are meeting with teenagers, youths, and young adults on the streets of Lekki for a gathering we call “The Gathering.” This evening, we will be sharing a powerful truth: the Christian journey is not just a journey with an end—it is a journey into eternity, because the life of Christ is eternal.
The Apostle Paul, in his writings, spoke of a higher calling. After many years of walking with the Lord, he still cried out:
"That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death."
He also said, “I die daily.”
This reveals a deep truth: Christianity is not a title—it is a life.
Today, many people quickly say, “I am a Christian,” but in reality, they have not yet come into the full understanding of the Christian life. True Christianity is not merely attending church services; it is encountering and living the life of Christ.
I speak from experience.
Some time ago, I traveled to Benue State, Nigeria, for a one-week leadership meeting. During that time, I began to understand deeply what truly took place on the cross—and what needed to take place in my own heart. Before that meeting, I thought I was a Christian. But by the end, I realized I had not yet fully entered into that life, even though I had attended church all my life.
There was in me a deep, undying hunger for God—an intense desire for intimacy with Him. During that season, I discovered something I pray never to lose, even if I lose everything: the life of Christ.
Later that same year, in 2025, during a week of evangelism in Akute, Ogun State, I had a dream on the final day. In the dream, an angel of the Lord spoke two powerful statements to me:
“Before I gave Adam a wife, I gave him work.”
“Ask for what money cannot buy.”
When I woke up, I was deeply troubled and burdened to understand the meaning. I spoke to my leader, Brother Segun, and asked, “What is that which money cannot buy?”
He replied, “The presence of God.”
At that moment, I cried out:
“Lord, give me Your presence till the end of my life on earth—and even when I return in glory.”
And the Lord answered me.
Beloved, this Christian race is not about rushing to heaven. We were not created just to escape the earth—we were created to live lives that release a sweet fragrance unto God.
The journey of a true Christian is not defined by human philosophy but by the Scriptures. That is why one of our goals is to put the Bible into the hands of new converts. Because when the Bible is in their hands, the Word enters their hearts—and when the Word fills the heart, transformation begins.
We were not created merely to die, even though there is an appointed time. We were created to shine—to be a light to our families, communities, and the world.
At that leadership meeting in Benue State, at Bethany Resort, something happened to me—I died.
The old Taiye Ajayi died, and a new life emerged—Christ in me.
My physical identity remained the same, but the man living inside of me became Christ, the Son of God.
And this experience is not mine alone—it is available to you.
The Christian journey is about Christ being revealed in every area of our lives.
As we journey through this world, never forget this truth:
Christ was, Christ is, and Christ will always be the center of human existence—both in this world and in the world to come.
PRAYER
Lord, I ask You to come into my life and make me a new person through Jesus, the Son of the Living God. Amen.
