NOT TO COMPARE “Comparing themselves among themselves, and measuring themselves by themselves, they are not wise.” — 2 Corinthians 10:12 It is foolish to compare yourself with others because no two journeys are exactly the same. Just as our fingerprints are unique and different, so are our journeys, seasons, assignments, and destinies. God rules and reigns in the affairs of men. He determines the times and seasons of every person. Therefore, you must learn to trust God’s process for your life instead of measuring your progress by the lives of others. Some people will arrive early, while others will arrive later. Some will experience certain things in their youth, while others will experience them much later in life. Jesus began His earthly ministry around the age of thirty, while many others in Scripture were called and used by God at different stages of their lives.
