In Christ I Am a Winner
“But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” — 1 Corinthians 15:57 Shalom! The battles of life are common to all men. Nobody walks through this world without facing challenges, disappointments, delays, opposition, or moments when the weight of life seems too heavy to carry. But there is a great difference between facing a battle with Christ and facing it without Him. The Bible says, “But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Notice the words “thanks be to God.” Paul did not say, “Thanks be to God because there are no battles.” He gave thanks because, even in the presence of battles, victory had already been secured through Christ.
