 Waiting Is Not Wasting “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles.” — Isaiah 40:31 Waiting is one of the greatest tools God uses to prepare His sons and daughters for His purposes. In the place of waiting, patience is developed, character is built, faith is strengthened, and maturity is formed. Sometimes, God makes us wait for certain answers—not because He cannot answer us, but because He is preparing us for what we have prayed for. If God gives us some blessings too early, we may not have the maturity to value them, manage them, or keep them. What we call delay may actually be divine preparation. Waiting is not wasting. It is part of our journey with God. Every prayer has an appointed time, and that is why faith must always be accompanied by patience. “You have need of patience, that, after you have done the will of God, you might receive the promise” (Hebrews 10:36).
