The Faithfulness of God
“God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?” Numbers 23:19 God’s faithfulness is one of the greatest reasons we can trust Him. If God says it, He will do it. If He makes a promise, He remains committed to His word. Unlike human beings, whose promises can change because of circumstances, God never changes, even when circumstances change. He is dependable in every season. The Bible says, “God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear” (1 Corinthians 10:13). Even in temptation and trials, God does not abandon His children. He provides a way of escape and gives us grace to endure. There was once a young man who lost his job shortly after getting married.
