Christ: The Saviour
«“She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” — Matthew 1:21» The scripture above clearly reveals the purpose for which Jesus Christ was born. Every person who comes into this world has a purpose and an assignment that makes his or her life meaningful. In fact, the purpose of life is to live a life of purpose. Jesus was born for a divine assignment: to save His people from their sins. The Bible says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” — John 3:16. Jesus came not to do His own will, but the will of the Father who sent Him. His earthly assignment was not a temporary mission. Even today, His work of saving, restoring, delivering, and reconciling people to God continues.
