DEALING WITH FEAR

By Evang. Taiye Ajayi

Good morning, friends across the nations of the world. Today is a great day, filled with opportunities and good news. The greatest news of all is this: Jesus is alive!

We are dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges through biblical wisdom, counseling, and practical guidance that brings clarity, healing, and transformation.

Today, I will be sharing on the profound topic "Dealing with Fear."

Fear, when it is not understood and confronted, can become a stronghold that prevents you from living the transformed life God desires for you. One important truth to remember is that the opposite of fear is faith.

Interestingly, fear and faith have something in common: both are produced by what you continually hear. Fear often enters through our senses, especially through what we hear and see. Faith, on the other hand, comes through hearing the Word of God.

The Bible says:

«"So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." — Romans 10:17»

Fear often grows from the negative news, uncertainties, and circumstances around us. This is why the information we consume must be carefully regulated. Throughout history, nations have gone to war because of false information and propaganda. The enemy often uses misinformation to create division, destroy reputations, and hinder progress in communities, families, and even nations.

Many people struggle with different kinds of fear: fear of the future, fear of failure, fear of rejection, fear of marriage, fear of making friends, fear of loss, and many others. But God's Word declares:

«"For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." — 2 Timothy 1:7»

While good advice, counseling, and motivational messages may offer temporary encouragement, lasting victory over fear comes from consistently reading, studying, and meditating on the Word of God.

The Lord instructed Joshua:

«"This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night... then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success." — Joshua 1:8»

The Word of God fills your heart with faith, and as faith grows, fear loses its grip.

Whenever you discover fear rising in your heart, search the Scriptures for God's promises concerning that area. Read them repeatedly, meditate on them, confess them, and allow them to become part of you. As faith increases, courage and boldness will replace fear.

Let me share a personal testimony.

For many years, I was afraid of marrying the wrong woman. That fear held me captive, and ironically, I kept entering the wrong relationships. Then one day I discovered Proverbs 19:14:

«"Houses and wealth are inherited from parents, but a prudent wife is from the Lord."»

That scripture changed everything. I realized that a godly wife is not merely found through endless searching but is a gift from God. I turned my focus from anxiety to trusting God, and in His perfect time, He provided the wonderful woman I married.

The Bible was inspired by the Holy Spirit through holy men of God, and one of its purposes is to build faith and make believers fearless. The more you engage with God's Word, the stronger your faith becomes.

Fear, when left unchecked, produces negative results. Job said:

«"For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me, and what I dreaded has happened to me." — Job 3:25»

Do not allow fear to rule your life. Feed your faith daily with God's Word, and fear will gradually lose its power over you. Whatever you are facing today, remember that God is with you. His promises are greater than your fears, and His presence is stronger than every storm.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You because You have not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. Fill our hearts with faith as we meditate on Your Word daily. Every fear, anxiety, and worry that has held us captive, let it be broken in the name of Jesus. Help us to trust You completely and walk boldly into the purpose You have prepared for us. In Jesus' name, Amen.

God bless you. Please like, comment, and share this message. Someone may receive hope and freedom through it today.
