THIS IS LOVE (For Singles) – Part 2
The Lord has been good to us!
Good morning, everyone, and Happy Sunday. It is a great privilege once again to bring this piece to you. The Word of God has the power to transform lives, and a word spoken in season can bring a person into greatness without delay.
Today, we will continue our discussion on "This Is Love." One of my greatest desires is to see young people build godly relationships, enjoy happy marriages, and fulfill God's purpose together. Marriage was never designed by God to be a source of endless troubles; rather, it is a divine institution through which God's purpose and kingdom are advanced on the earth.

The Attitude of Surrender
One of the attitudes we must maintain while waiting on God for a life partner is the attitude of surrender.
Surrender simply means saying, "Lord, I will not allow my will to override Your will for my life. Not my will, but Yours be done."
When we learn to trust God's direction in little matters, we gain confidence that He can also guide us in one of the biggest decisions of our lives—the choice of a life partner.
In Part 1, we learned that we do not marry who we want; we marry who we are. This truth remains powerful because the quality of your relationship is often a reflection of the quality of the person you have become.
Today, I want to share another timeless nugget:
«"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." — Proverbs 3:5-6»
God is not interested in being consulted only after we have made our decisions. He desires to lead us from the beginning. Many people have entered relationships based on emotions, physical attraction, pressure, or personal assumptions, only to discover later that they never sought God's direction.
Love without God's guidance can become a painful journey. But love guided by God becomes a beautiful testimony.
A Story to Remember
Let me share a simple story.
There was a young lady named Esther who prayed earnestly for a life partner. One day, she met a man who seemed to possess everything she had ever desired. He was handsome, financially stable, intelligent, and attentive. In her heart she concluded, "This must be the one."
Yet, despite all the attractive qualities she saw, she felt uneasy whenever she prayed. Instead of rushing into the relationship, she chose to surrender her desires to God.
Months later, she discovered that the man was living a double life and had no genuine interest in serving God. What appeared to be a perfect answer to prayer would have eventually led her away from God's purpose.
Years later, God connected her with another man who genuinely loved Him. He was not everything she had imagined, but he was exactly what God had prepared. Today, they are happily fulfilling God's purpose together.
The lesson is simple: what looks right is not always God's will, but God's will will always prove right.
At What Stage Do You Say, "Yes, I Have Found Love?"
Many people mistake attraction, excitement, or affection for love. While these are important emotions, they are not enough to sustain a lifelong relationship.
You can confidently say you have found love when:
1. Your relationship draws both of you closer to God.
2. There is peace in your heart, not confusion and anxiety.
3. The relationship aligns with God's Word.
4. You genuinely desire the person's growth and well-being, not just what they can offer you.
5. Wise and godly counsel confirms the direction you are taking.
6. You can see purpose, commitment, and responsibility beyond mere feelings.
Love is not merely finding someone who makes your heart beat faster; it is finding someone with whom you can fulfill God's purpose and glorify Him.
Final Thoughts
As you wait on God, do not rush ahead of Him. The right person at the wrong time can still become a problem. Trust God's timing, trust His wisdom, and trust His leading.
Remember, love is not only about finding the right person; it is also about becoming the right person.
May God direct your path, preserve your heart, and lead you into His perfect will concerning your relationship and future marriage.
Prayer:
Father, I surrender my desires, plans, and expectations to You. Lead me according to Your perfect will. Help me to recognize Your voice and follow Your direction concerning my future spouse. Let my relationship and marriage bring glory to Your name and fulfillment to Your purpose. In Jesus' name, Amen.
To be continued...
