WE PREACH CHRIST

"But we preach Christ crucified: unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto the Greeks foolishness; but unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God."
1 Corinthians 1:23-24

The preaching of Christ is the very heart and totality of the Gospel. We live in a world that preaches many things while neglecting the message of Christ. Some preach success, wealth, influence, education, gifts, and talents, but the Scriptures declare that Christ alone is the power of God and the wisdom of God. Every other wisdom is merely the wisdom of men.

When Christ is preached, hope is restored, lives are transformed, hearts are healed, nations experience peace, God's power is revealed, and His grace is poured out upon men.

Jesus said, "And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto Myself." Sadly, many today lift up other things instead of Christ. They celebrate riches above righteousness, gifts above character, and fame above faithfulness. Yet none of these possess the power to save souls or transform lives.

Is the preaching of Christ foolishness? Yes, it is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to those who are saved, it is the power of God unto salvation.

Some may wonder whether something as simple and straightforward as the preaching of Christ can truly change lives and nations. The answer is yes. The Bible tells us that the weakness of God is stronger than the strength of men. Christ may appear simple to the human mind, but His message carries eternal power.

Christ is the foundation of the Gospel and should be the foundation of our lives. I have discovered that any endeavour built without Christ at its foundation is ultimately destined for failure, regardless of how successful it may appear before men. Likewise, if our purpose in life has no connection with glorifying Christ and advancing His kingdom, our achievements may gain earthly applause but produce little eternal value.

Let everything you do preach Christ.

I once heard the story of a man who lay on his deathbed surrounded by his family, his awards, and the memories of his achievements. He had built successful businesses, acquired properties, and earned the admiration of many people. As he reflected on his life, tears filled his eyes as he whispered, "I spent my life gathering treasures for earth but neglected treasures for heaven."

At that moment, he realised that the houses he built could not follow him into eternity, the awards could not speak for him before God, and the wealth he accumulated could not purchase salvation. He had chased the shadows of this world while ignoring the things that truly mattered.

Friends, it is far better to invest your life in building treasures in heaven than to spend your years gathering the fading possessions of this world.

Preach Christ in your profession, your career, your business, your politics, and your daily life—not merely with words but with actions.

How does an engineer preach Christ? By building with honesty and integrity. How does a businessman preach Christ? By conducting business with fairness and righteousness. How does a politician preach Christ? By serving with humility and justice. How does a teacher preach Christ? By shaping lives with wisdom and godly character.

The world may never stand behind a pulpit to hear your sermon, but it will watch your life every day.

However, it is impossible to give what you do not possess. Only those who have Christ can truly reveal Christ to others. It is a mistake to think that Christ can only be manifested on the pulpit. He must be seen in our homes, our workplaces, our conversations, our decisions, and our relationships.

May men see Christ in the way we speak, the way we work, the way we serve, and the way we live.

At the end of our journey on earth, may we be able to say like the Apostle Paul:

"For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain."

May our lives preach Christ until the whole world knows Him.
