Fighting Lust

 The flesh is often drawn to Lust, not just sexual or immorality but also food, pleasure, money, self-glorification, and power. Lust always gives birth to sin. That is why you must stay glued and read through.

 It is a privilege and rear honor for me that you take out time to read all my write up and articles as I delve into several subjects of human endeavors to reveal salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

For there to be a fight then one must identify what the contention is, what damage has it caused, and how to win the war and thereby be assured of peace. The truth is seven (7) out of ten (10) persons lust for the opposite sex, food, car, money, material possession, and power and it has led to so trouble and addictions.

 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father but is of the world. 1 John 2:16

 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Matthew 5:28

From the scripture above, fighting against lust is to war against this world and everything it has to offer and that lust start first with the eye which takes sight of things and transports them to the heart. When the heart is unregenerate the mind accepts it, thereby it becomes an action that the body displays thereby becoming a habit and later on forming and becoming a character leading to a lifestyle and without knowing determines the destiny of a man. 

 Let it be clear that everyone can be prone to lust, even the person writing this blog because of the nature of this flesh that we put on so please note the purpose of this blog is not to judge or condemn any but to show you through the scriptures how to fight it.

 Those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. (Romans 8:5)

 Today, I’ll be showing you one of the many ways to fight Lust from the Holy Bible. I’m sure you know it before but this might serve as a reminder 

 “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Roman 12:2

Strengthen your defense against the offense of lust through the renewing of your mind through the word of God. That way you won't conform to this world and its pleasures rather you'll work in the perfect will of God.

Remember, the battleground is your mind, your opponent is the thing captured by the five senses. Therefore let your defense be the renewing of your mind through the Word so you don’t fall into sin.

 

 Jesus saves still save souls and you can be saved too by His help
