How to know your purpose in Life Part 3

Bless the Lord O my Soul and all that is within me.... Hallelujah!!! It again a great joy in my heart to write to you today! I write to you from the City of Akute, Ifo local government, Ogun state, Nigeria.

As said by one of my great mentors late Dr Myles Monroe parts of this series, "when the purpose of a thing is not known abuse is inevitable" in other words when your life's purpose is not known you will abuse the life. And you only live once you know... I see around today many regretting old men and women wishing they can be young again  they would have lived it well but too bad it's not possible again. Young man, don't be like them so pay attention!!!

I shall be taking you further again practical way you can know your purpose in life. In a bustling city, there lived a young woman named Emma. She worked a monotonous job in a cubicle, daydreaming about a life filled with meaning and purpose. Every day felt like a repeat of the last, and she often wondered if there was more to life than the routine she found herself trapped in.

One evening, after a particularly exhausting day, Emma decided to take a different route home. As she walked through a quiet park, she stumbled upon a small community center. The sign outside read, “Finding Your Purpose: Free Workshop Tonight.” Intrigued, she decided to attend.

Inside, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. People of all ages and backgrounds gathered, exchanging smiles and greetings. A man with a kind face and a gentle demeanor, introduced himself as Seun, the workshop facilitator. He began by sharing his own journey of discovering purpose, which resonated deeply with Emma.

Seun guided the group through a series of exercises. The first task was simple: write down ten things you love doing. Emma’s list included reading, helping others, cooking, and spending time in nature. Next, Seun asked them to reflect on moments when they felt truly alive and content. Emma remembered volunteering at a local shelter and the joy of seeing a smile on someone’s face after sharing a meal she had prepared.

As the workshop progressed, Seun emphasized the importance of valuing oneself. “You are unique,” he said. “Your experiences, passions, and talents are unlike anyone else’s. To find your purpose, you must first recognize and honor your worth.”

The group was then paired up to discuss their lists and reflections. Emma found herself partnered with an elderly woman named Mary, who had a gentle, encouraging spirit. As they talked, Mary helped Emma see patterns in her passions and experiences. “It seems like you have a gift for nurturing and bringing joy to others,” Mary observed.

The final exercise was to write a mission statement. Seun encouraged them to think about how they could use their passions to make a positive impact. Emma’s hand trembled slightly as she wrote, “My purpose is to use my love for cooking and helping others to create a community where people feel valued and cared for.”

Leaving the workshop, Emma felt a new sense of clarity and excitement. She started small, cooking extra portions and sharing meals with her neighbors. She volunteered more frequently at the shelter, eventually organizing community dinners that brought people together.

As weeks turned into months, Emma’s life transformed. She opened a small café that doubled as a community hub, offering free meals to those in need and hosting events to bring people together. Her café became a place of warmth and connection, reflecting the purpose she had discovered.

In the process, Emma learned to value herself. She saw how her unique combination of skills and passions could create something beautiful and meaningful. By recognizing her worth and embracing her purpose, she not only changed her own life but also touched the lives of countless others. And in those moments of connection and joy, Emma found the fulfillment she had been searching for.

You true worth in life come when your actions to others makes them smile... Jesus brings true joy and can help you impact your world positively.

Come to him today!!!
