Overcoming with sexually impure thought. part 1

Today we shall be looking at a topic many people try to ignore, which goes on in the thoughts of many which has led to several negative effects in the lifes  of many. Teenager, youths and even young adults struggle with masturbation, sexually immorality, fornication and adultery which have made many deadening in their walk with God and fellow people around their lives. Not just that, many feel frustrated about life they have the money and riches but this issue has become a strong of their lives. You may have never come across this page before or maybe you just visiting for the first time please pay attention as you read through and I pray the Lord will encounter you anew.

As a young teenager, as many young folks I hanged out with classmates who didn't fear God and I got exposed to pornography which held me bound for many years which resulted to this cage called immoral thoughts. It got so bad that when ever I see a woman I could x-ray her to see how see look without dresses. My imagination got bad because I got addicted to the demonic trap. I use to do very well at school suddenly I began performing poorly. I use to be hot for God and the things of God I became cold and vulnerable for attacks of the devil. I had nightmares upon nightmare. Dream sex became a norm from a very young age.

Now, I'm writing this to let you know over bad it is, and from personal counseling sessions I had with young folks I discover that the devil keeps focusing his attack on them because of their vulnerability. This applies both to girls and boys. The other day, I met a girl of 12 who opened up to me of how she has been masturbating every since she mistakenly watch a pornographic film on her elder brother phone. This is sad! And it seems in this time we are this is multiplying. I will be sharing the word of God for the life of Joseph, afterwards share how I overcome and if you are going through this and you are in need of help please do well to reach us at our social media platforms or just leave a message we will definitely respond back.

Joseph was the eleventh son of Jacob and was favored by his father, which caused jealousy among his brothers. They sold him into slavery, and he ended up in Egypt, serving Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh. Despite his dire circumstances, Joseph remained faithful to God and rose to a position of trust and responsibility in Potiphar’s household.

However, Joseph’s integrity and good looks caught the attention of Potiphar’s wife, who repeatedly tried to seduce him. Each time she approached him, Joseph resisted her advances. His response was firm and resolute:

"How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?" (Genesis 39:9)

Joseph's words reflect his deep commitment to his faith and his understanding of the moral implications of giving in to temptation. He recognized that yielding to sexual impurity would not only betray Potiphar’s trust but, more importantly, would be a sin against God.

Despite Joseph's consistent refusal, Potiphar’s wife continued her attempts to seduce him. One day, she caught him by his garment, demanding that he lie with her. Joseph fled, leaving his garment in her hand, but this act of integrity led to his false accusation and imprisonment.

Even in prison, Joseph remained faithful and continued to trust in God. His unwavering commitment to his moral principles and his reliance on God eventually led to his rise to power in Egypt, where he became second only to Pharaoh. Through his faithfulness, Joseph not only overcame the temptation but also fulfilled God’s plan for his life, ultimately saving many lives during a severe famine.

Joseph's story demonstrates the power of steadfast faith and moral integrity in overcoming sexually impure thoughts and temptations. By prioritizing his relationship with God and adhering to his principles, Joseph was able to resist repeated temptations, even when it came at a great personal cost. His story serves as a timeless example of the strength and blessings that come from living a life of integrity and faithfulness.

I won't bother you with bullet points on steps to overcome sexually impure thought. The truth is that it doesn't help I will share my personal experiences what I didn't on a consistent basis that helped me up till today. One thing I will like to be clear about here is that what ever enters your mind i.e thought enter your life and what ever enters your life has the power to make or mar you. If I can overcome it so you can.
