You need the fellowship of other believers to grow. Just as a newborn needs care, so do you in your spiritual walk. Ask someone who led you to Christ to help you find a church where you can learn and grow. "Let us not give up meeting together, but encourage one another" (Hebrews 10:25).

3. Turn Away from Your Old Life

Leave behind the lifestyle of sin—anything that doesn’t honor God. You are no longer a slave to sin; you belong to Christ now (Romans 6:6). The Holy Spirit will empower you to walk in holiness. "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" (2 Corinthians 5:17).
