YOU ARE MORE THAN YOU THINK
Today, the Lord began speaking to me from Leviticus 16:16, where Aaron was instructed to make atonement for the Holy Place because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel. The Lord also drew my attention to 1 Corinthians 3:16:
"Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?"
These two scriptures form the foundation of today's message.
Many believers do not fully understand who they became the moment they received Jesus Christ into their lives. As a result, they allow the enemy to rob them of the benefits and privileges that belong to them in Christ.
The death and resurrection of Jesus brought us into a New Covenant. Through Christ, God no longer dwells in buildings made with human hands; He now dwells in His people.
You are not ordinary.
You are God's temple.
You are God's representative on earth.
You are Heaven's ambassador in this world.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE AN AMBASSADOR OF CHRIST?
An ambassador is one of the most influential representatives of a nation. He carries the authority, values, and interests of his country into a foreign land.
Likewise, as believers, we represent the Kingdom of Heaven on earth.
An ambassador:
1. Never Forgets His Source
Everything an ambassador needs is supplied by his home country. His accommodation, transportation, security, and welfare are provided for him.
In the same way, God is your Source.
Many people are stressed because they have forgotten where their help comes from. Your job is not your source. Your business is not your source. Your family is not your source.
God is your Source.
Whether you are a student, youth, entrepreneur, employee, pastor, husband, wife, or single person, never lose sight of the One who sustains you.
2. Protects the Interest of His Kingdom
An ambassador lives to advance the interests of his country.
As believers, our lives should reflect God's values.
Young people should represent Christ in their schools, campuses, workplaces, and online spaces.
Singles should honour God in their relationships and decisions.
Married couples should build homes that reflect God's love and purpose.
Business owners should operate with integrity.
Workers should serve faithfully.
In every area of life, we are called to reveal Christ.
3. Knows He Is Not a Permanent Resident
An ambassador understands that his assignment in a foreign land is temporary.
Likewise, this world is not our permanent home.
Many people are living as though this present world is all there is. They pursue wealth, fame, pleasure, and status while neglecting their eternal destiny.
Jesus reminds us to store treasures in Heaven.
Use your time wisely.
Use your gifts wisely.
Use your opportunities wisely.
One day, every earthly achievement will fade, but what is done for Christ will remain forever.
4. Gives Account of His Assignment
An ambassador regularly reports to his government.
One day, every one of us will stand before God and give an account of how we lived.
How did we spend our time?
How did we use our gifts?
How did we treat people?
How faithfully did we represent Christ?
This is not meant to produce fear but to inspire purpose and intentional living.
THE POWER OF GOD LIVES IN YOU
The greatest miracle of the New Covenant is that God Himself lives inside His people.
Think about that.
The Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you.
You carry the presence of God.
You carry divine authority.
You carry divine wisdom.
You carry divine power.
This is why you must never see yourself as weak, defeated, abandoned, or insignificant.
Jesus came as the Mediator of the New Covenant to restore our relationship with God. Through Him, we can live God's life here on earth.
The prophets of old experienced moments of God's presence, but under the New Covenant, the Holy Spirit lives permanently within every believer.
What a privilege!
A WORD TO THE YOUTHS
Do not allow social media, peer pressure, or worldly trends to define your identity.
Your value is not determined by likes, followers, fashion, or popularity.
You are chosen by God.
You are called for a purpose.
You are an ambassador of Christ.
Live differently.
Stand boldly for Christ.
A WORD TO SINGLES
Do not let loneliness push you outside God's will.
Prepare yourself for the future God has for you.
Develop your character.
Grow spiritually.
Pursue purpose.
The right relationship should complement God's plan for your life, not destroy it.
A WORD TO MARRIED COUPLES
Your marriage is a ministry.
Your home should be a reflection of God's love and grace.
Pray together.
Forgive one another.
Support each other.
Build a family that honours God and impacts generations.
FINAL THOUGHT
Never forget who you are.
You are God's temple.
You are Heaven's ambassador.
You are God's representative on earth.
The Holy Spirit lives in you.
Live with purpose.
Live with boldness.
Live with eternity in view.
And above all, never forget your Source.
May the Lord help us to represent Him faithfully until the day we see Him face to face.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for making me Your temple and Your ambassador on earth. Help me to live in a way that glorifies You. Let my life reflect Your Kingdom, Your power, and Your purpose. Strengthen me to represent You faithfully in my generation. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
