God or Money
“No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.” — Matthew 6:24
Jesus did not compare God with Satan; He compared God with money. Why? Because money can quietly take the place of God in a person’s heart. The Bible says, “The love of money is a root of all kinds of evil” (1 Timothy 6:10).
A wealthy man once spent his entire life chasing money. He worked day and night, sacrificed his family, neglected God, and kept saying, “When I have enough, I will rest.” But enough never came. One day, after years of pursuing wealth, he died suddenly. His money remained behind, but his life was gone.
Money is not evil. It is good to have money, and I pray that God blesses you with abundance. Amen. But money was never created to become your master.
Many people have spent their lives chasing what they could never take into eternity. Therefore, love and serve God with all your heart, strength, and might. Trust His timing, work diligently, and allow Him to bless you according to His will.
Choose God. Let money serve you, not rule you.
